The record was recorded at the Bolshetirskoye oil field. The work was carried out on a modern Bentec HR 5000 drilling rig. Previously, the maximum horizontal drilling rate was set at the Markovskoye oil and gas condensate field and amounted to 1757m.
“At the design stage, it was necessary to take into account all the nuances: the selection of downhole and surface equipment, geological uncertainties, drilling modes. During the preparation, we took into account past experience, drilling of previous wells was carefully analyzed,” said Konstantin Petrukhin, Drilling Director of the Irkutsk Oil Company.
The equipment was designed by order of the Irkutsk Oil Company for operation in Eastern Siberia. The contract for the supply of 7 new Russian-made drilling rigs was signed in 2019, the first three rigs were launched at the fields in 2021. The delivery of 4 more machines is planned for the first half of 2022. The equipment was purchased with a soft loan from the Industrial Development Fund.
