On October 21, Yuri Borisov held a meeting on preparation for the implementation of investment projects in the Urals Federal District. The event was attended by Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Urals Federal District Vladimir Yakushev, Governor of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Natalya Komarova, Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Pavel Sorokin, representatives of companies in the fuel and energy complex.

Yuri Borisov noted the importance of involving hard-to-recover gas reserves in the Nadym-Pur-Taz region in the development both to maintain production volumes and to maintain a balance of sustainable social development of settlements.

“The extraction of hard-to-recover reserves will require R&D, including the development of hydraulic fracturing technology, as well as the provision of government support measures. This is an important task to be solved, ”said Yuri Borisov.

According to Vladimir Yakushev, the adoption of a comprehensive program for the Yamal TRIZs will help to intensify the activities of enterprises in areas with declining production, to involve deposits of complex hydrocarbons in circulation. “These solutions will help to avoid large-scale social problems in mono-territories that specialize only in oil and gas production,” he stressed.

“We need a whole range of measures related to the development of domestic technologies. It is important that these tasks are carried out as much as possible by Russian specialists. The project has a significant amount of potential investment and it is necessary to create conditions for all this to remain in our country. Another challenge is advanced training of personnel, since the technologies we are talking about will require an appropriate level of specialists who will be engaged in research to develop complex reserves, ”noted Dmitry Artyukhov.

The program for the production of hard-to-recover gas reserves was also discussed at a working meeting between Yuri Borisov, Vladimir Yakushev and Dmitry Artyukhov. They also discussed the issue of preparation for the implementation of the Northern Latitudinal Railway. Dmitry Artyukhov noted that the railway is necessary for the export of goods not only from Yamal, but also from other regions of the Ural Federal District. In the future, the construction of the SSH will open access for industrial enterprises of all subjects of the Ural Federal District to the Northern Sea Route.
